Richard Barnbrook investigated over murder claims

Richard Barnbrook, the BNP's only London assembly member, is under investigation after being accused of wrongly alleging that three murders took place in the borough.

Mr Barnbrook, who is GLA member for Barking and Dagenham, claimed in September that a girl and two others were murdered in knife attacks. He made the claims on Youtube website, accusing London Mayor, Boris Johnson and councils of failing to do more to tackle knife crime.

GLA's standards sub-committee referred the allegation for further investigation after viewing the broadcast last month. Mr Barnbrook could be suspended by the GLA for up to six months if the complaint is upheld.

Executive Member for Safer Neighbourhoods and Policing, Cllr Val Rush, lodged the complaint, after stating that there had been no murders during this period.

Mr Barnbrook said in the Youtube video in September: "In Barking and Dagenham three weeks ago there was murder of a young girl. Again two weeks ago there was another attack by knives on the streets of Barking and Dagenham and two people were murdered."

Mr Barnbrook has been advised to make no comment while the investigation is underway.

Community centre bans BNP after Golliwog row

The venue set to host the British National Party's controversial Christmas party tonight has pulled the plug on it after a host of complaints.
The Ore Community Centre in London Road had been hired by the party to stage its festive fundraiser at a cost of £10 an hour.

However, the BNP sparked widespread outrage after announcing it would be selling Golliwog dolls at the event alongside St George crosses, Union Jacks and BNP regalia.

Critics branded the dolls racist and condemned the BNP as biggotted far-right extremists - demanding to know why a community centre would allow such a group to use its facilities.

At the time (last Thursday) a spokesman for the centre said the BNP used the hall on a monthly basis and that they "had never had any problems with them".

However, the later confirmed a meeting would take place to decide whether or not the BNP was a suitable client.

Now, hours before the event was set to take place, it seems the committee has decided to ban the right-wing party - much to the disgust of its local organiser.

BNP bigwig Nick Prince has slammed the decision. He said: "The British National Party has used the venue since April 1 2008 and has always treated the venue with total respect and there had never been a problem or an incident."

He claimed he was informed by telephone and told the decision was taken after pressure from certain individuals - individuals Mr Prince believes include a host of local politicians.

Hastings MP Michael Foster and local Labour leader Jeremy Birch were among those who criticised the controversial BNP last week.

Mr Prince said: "I believe it is pressure from the likes of Cllr Birch and Mr Foster that has started this.

"A community centre should be used by all for all and there is no reason for the British National Party not to be allowed to use it."

The Christmas party, which was set to include a quiz and Activist of the Year prize, was due to be picketed by anti-fascist protestors.

Representatives from Hastings and District Trades Council, Unite Against Fascism and Love Music Hate Racism had all planned to protest against the BNP outside tonight's event.

Mystery of BNP membership list leak shock solved

Braindead Neanderthal Party leader Nick Grabbit has admitted that all might not be as it seems in the mystery of the BNP membership list leak shock.

Mr Grabbit told me last night that on closer inspection the leaked list could not be the BNP membership list, as there were more than four names on it. In fact the leaked document appeared to be Mr Grabbit's 2007 Christmas card list, since the 12,000 names on it all corresponded to those of close personal friends and neighbours of his. Taking out an onion, Mr Grabbit expressed his deep regret for any anxiety caused by the leaking of his Christmas card list.

Speaking at his pig farm just outside Little Coddling, the BNP leader told this journal: "Bugger. This all blew up at the wrong time. I was expecting to be in Australia by now, visiting my little friend Darrin the Newt. Rest assured that everybody on the list will receive a hand-written mail-merged personal letter from me, and by way of making it up to them I'll be offering everybody the chance to invest in a fantastic Croatian time-share opportunity. Want to hire a skip? Lend me a fiver until next Thursday?"

The news was welcomed by local primary school teacher Mrs Delia Pustule, who found herself outed on the list. In the front lebensraum of her cottage, Mrs Pustule said she knew she would be vindicated. "I'm not a Nazi and this proves it - but that Hitler had some good ideas," she said, humming along to a CD of the Horst Wessel Lied. "I am not now and never have been a member of the Braindead Neanderthal Party, except for a very short period when I made a mistake and joined for fifteen years running. It's an error anybody could make. Wasn't that Goering a handsome fellow?"

Also appearing on the list was Mr Podney Fullbucket, owner of the Whips and Chains Gay Sado-Masochist Club and Eel Pie Shop on Coddling High Street. "I was outraged to find myself of this list, and wish to state that Whips and Chains would never associate itself with an organisation like the Braindead Neanderthal Party," said Mr Fullbucket. "I want to make it clear," he said, adjusting his strong-smelling leather thong, "that we have an open door policy here. Darkies and hook-noses are as welcome here as poofs and dykes. In fact since me and the business were associated with the BNP we've had all sorts of perverts in and business has boomed. But I'm glad the truth is out, because I was never at any time in the BNP other than as a paying member, and that was only because somebody calling himself 'Tony' took my wife and kids hostage and said that if I didn't stand as a candidate he'd make sure they slept with the fishes. Or it might have been pigs. Got to go now - one of our members is getting married and we're having a whip-round."

Long suspected of secret membership of the Braindead Neanderthals is Pat Snarkspore, general secretary of Little Coddling's Swindle trade union. We surprised Mr Snarkspore as he ran off a number five bus in Little Coddling High Street, hotly pursued by a bus-company inspector. There ensued an altercation in which the inspector demanded to see Mr Snarkspore's ticket. Mr Snarkspore said he could not produce the original ticket, but he did have a copy, certified by a solicitor who he did not care to name. When the inspector alleged that when he was asked to purchase a ticket by the bus driver Mr Snarkspore had told the driver to "Eff off", Mr Snarkspore retaliated that he had a minute of that conversation, signed as a true and accurate record by himself and his friend Graham, and he would produce it in a few days' time.

"I've never been a member of the Braindead Neanderthal Party," said Mr Snarkspore. "Nick's had that little moneypot stitched up for years. I just take what the poor saps have got left by getting them to join my union, which I originally purchased off-the-peg at a charity shop, Potter's Lost Causes Foundation. It was on a rack marked 'corrupt fascist unions', next to the bra's amd panties. It isn't true that I grabbed the union and made a dash for it. Nor is it true that I'm a secret fascist. Mussolini was a liberal like me, you know. One darkie has flocked to our big fighting union, Swindle. I fancy him something rotten, and so does my ex-wife. There are hundreds of thousands of Swindle members living in Little Coddling, and we're not going to take this lying down. Well, my ex-wife does, but she's always been a disappointment."

The biggest shock of all came when it was revealed that Little Coddling's Chief Constable Herbert Nazi-Walker was on the list. When we interviewed Nazi-Walker he was prodding his truncheon at a bloodied Asian man sprawled on the ground. "He just fell down the stairs," said Mr Nazi-Walker. "It happens a lot. I'm just resuscitating him with my truncheon now."

Told of the mix up that led to Mr Nazi-Walker being wrongly outed as a Braindead Neanderthal, the chief constable's right arm shot into the air and he shouted something that sounded like "see file".

"Thank God," he said. "I'm not a Nazi, but that Gestapo had some good ideas. And I haven't got anything against darkies. Just last week I went into Abdul's Curry Restaurant in the High Street, and took eighty of my police friends with me. We had a real good bash, and we did send our commiserations to Abdul's widow the next morning. She didn't thank us, though, but you know what these bloody darkies are like. No, I've never been in the Braindead Neanderthal Party, and neither have any of my fellow members of the BNP Advisory Council. Isn't that Redwatch site bloody good?"

The Little Coddling Parish Newsletter and International Times Tribune Herald Journal Star would like to apologise for the distress caused to all 12,000 Little Coddling residents who were wrongly outed as Braindead Neanderthal Party members in our columns as a result of Mr Grabbit mixing up his Christmas card list with the membership list.

We have had access to the real membership list, on which only four names appear. We note with interest that these members are located in Lancaster, Kirklees, Great Yarmouth, and a PO Box number in Ilford.

Mr Grabbit says he is very suspicious.

Councillor arrested over BNP membership list

A councillor who was kicked out of the BNP last year has been arrested in connection with the unauthorised release of the party's membership list. The Post understands Sadie Graham was one of two people arrested by Notts police officers last night.

Several police cars and a number of officers remain outside a property in Church Lane, Brinsley. Coun Graham, now an independent nationalist at Broxtowe Borough Council, was dropped from the BNP in December last year.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed Powys Police said: "We can confirm that Nottinghamshire Police arrested two people as part of a joint investigation with Dyfed Powys Police and the Information Commissioner's Office in conjunction with alleged criminal offences under the Data Protection Act. The arrests followed an investigation into a complaint received about the unauthorised release of the BNP party membership list."

The spokeswoman said that an army bomb disposal team was called to the address in Brinsley after a suspicious item was found during a police search of the same property. She added: "This was purely a precautionary measure and the item was declared safe, with no further reaction required."

The BNP membership list was published on an internet blog last month and was removed after complaints from the party. It featured more than 12,000 names including addresses, jobs and contact details. The BNP says the list was based on its 2007 membership list, although a number of names of people who were not, or are not, party members had allegedly been added.

The party said it obtained an injunction at the High Court in Manchester earlier this year, banning the publication of the list. Speaking last night, a BNP party spokesman said: "Police have confirmed they have arrested two people in the Nottinghamshire area."

Coun Graham left the BNP last year for allegedly being involved in the writing of an internet blog which the BNP claimed had aimed to "attack and smear fellow party officials".

Her expulsion was not heard before a panel and she appealed. At the time, she said: "I am absolutely disgusted by the way they have treated me when I have done nothing but work hard for the party and have been responsible for bringing them forward in the East Midlands. I am now an independent councillor for Broxtowe. I would like to assure people that I am still nationalist and still believe in the principles of the BNP, but just disagree with the bad management of the party. I work very hard as a councillor and will continue to do so."

Coun Graham was unavailable for comment.

Civil servant faces calls to quit Nipsa after list leaked

This is the outspoken BNP member who faces the boot from his frontline trade union role because of his hardline views. Right-wing activist Tim Clarke isn’t usually ‘behind-the-door’ about his opinions — but he’d kept his British National Party membership a secret from his colleagues in the Nipsa trade union.

But the Social Security Agency civil servant was outed along with thousands of supporters of the right-wing organisation when a disgruntled former member published their details on the internet.

Now Clarke’s union colleagues want him booted out of their trade union . . . and out of his civil service job.

They’re understood to have complained to the union’s hierarchy about Clarke’s continuing role as a branch secretary in the public service union. Nipsa’s general secretary John Corey yesterday confirmed that inquiries had been received from local union branches about the BNP membership issue. He said that the matter would be raised by the union’s general council.

Said Mr Corey: “Across the UK, trade unions have made clear they consider BNP membership to be incompatible with trade union membership. Trade unions stand for upholding the rights of every person, equality for all and against any forms of racism.”

Clarke has represented Nipsa members at the union’s annual conferences in his role as the secretary for Branch 34 of the union, which covers workers in the Social Security Agency in Lisburn. He describes himself as a Nipsa member of more than 25 years who has been a constant target for “abuse” from the union’s left.

Our exclusive snaps show him taking his seat at this year’s annual Nipsa conference in the Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle and standing behind the union’s leaders — including Mr Corey.

When Sunday Life called at his Lisburn home yesterday, the BNP man denied even BEING Clarke.

“I don’t know who you’re talking about,” he said from behind the door.

He later called our office to complain about being “rudely awakened” by our reporter. “I didn’t want to say anything incriminating. The media are very biased against the BNP,” said Clarke. “I joined the party because I’m concerned about levels of immigration and the way I see things developing. But it’s a perfectly legally-constituted party so I don’t see anything wrong with joining it. It’s accused of being racist. I’m certainly not (racist) in any shape or form. I don’t consider the BNP to be an extreme party. They are the only patriotic party there is.”

In relation to suggestions that there could be a conflict of interests between his membership and the civil servants’ code of conduct, he said: “I deal with everyone fairly and impartially, regardless of their views.”

And he said he intends to challenge fight any attempt by Nipsa to expel him, saying that they had “no evidence” he was a member of the BNP...even though he CONFIRMED it to a Sunday Life journalist!

Said Clarke: “They don’t even know for a start that I am a member. They can’t accuse me of anything they don’t have any evidence of. If I thought the BNP was as racist as people make out they are, I would not be a member. If they had the same image they had years ago when it was a completely different party — they were knuckle-dragging skinheads — I would have nothing to do with it. I believe anyone should be entitled to be a member of a trade union because they pay their membership fees to protect their employment rights.”

But Clarke’s Nipsa colleagues don’t agree.

Said one union official: “Membership of the BNP is completely incompatible with the code of conduct of the civil service which requires full respect for equality and diversity. Membership of our union and all public service unions demands we adhere to that code. If you’re a member of a racist party such as the BNP, you clearly have no right to be a member of Nipsa and you shouldn’t be employed by the civil service.”

A spokesman for the Department of Social Development, which oversees the Social Security Agency, said: “The Social Security Agency does not comment on the individual circumstances of staff.

“The civil service is permitted to take the view that they judge an officer by what he or she does — not what group he or she belongs to.”

Nipsa’s members aren’t alone in wanting BNP members out of their trade union. Trade unions throughout the UK have backed a recent amendment to the Employment Bill currently before the House of Lords that would allow them to ban racists.

The proposal — that has been labelled ‘Stalinist’ by the BNP — comes amid concern that the BNP is using unions to strengthen its electoral footing. It follows a landmark case in the European Court of Human Rights, which upheld the right of the train drivers’ union Aslef to expel one of its members for also holding membership of the BNP. If the law comes into force — and it would apply equally to Northern Ireland — it would come into immediate conflict with Northern Ireland’s fair employment laws which prohibit discrimination on the grounds of political opinion.

Clarke is one of dozens of members of the BNP from Northern Ireland to be identified after a disgruntled former member leaked the names and addresses of more than 10,000 members.

Sunday Life revealed last week how the local supporters of the far-right organisation have included a lonely-heart ex-copper, a soldier who hates England and a former fire chief. Ex-RUC officer Sandy Baxter said he was proud to be a member of the party.

Following our revelation that the Co Londonderry man had won admirers among a string of Thai beauties on an online dating website, the ex-cop quickly removed his profile from the Friendster social networking website. He had previously been seen on the site in a number of photos posing with a sports car, in RUC uniform and even with a heavy-calibre mounted machine-gun.

Squaddie Gary Wilkinson, we were told, had no interest in the BNP literature that had been posted to his former Ballycarry home. He had used his Bebo website to complain about how much he disliked England, claiming that many English people were “ignorant”.

Young professional couple Andy and Lisa Giltrap told how they had attended a number of local BNP meetings but had since left the organisation. Husband Andy told Sunday Life: "I would stress we are not racist in any way."

He added that the BNP had been unfairly branded as a Nazi group by the media.

“I do care about being British and I do believe we are being overrun by immigrants,” said the Bangor man.

Former Dungannon fire chief Harry Martin, a one-time vice-president of the Retired Fire Fighters Association, appeared on the BNP membership list after making a donation to the party. The retired fireman, now a lollipop man, said he had “changed his mind” about joining the party a short time after paying into their coffers.

Watchdog wants BNP to be denied right to teach

Members of the British National Party (BNP) working in universities should not be allowed direct contact with students, the higher education equality watchdog has said.

Several higher education staff were among BNP members whose details were recently leaked on the internet.

Nicola Dandridge, chief executive of the Equality Challenge Unit (ECU), said this week that while "primacy of freedom of speech is fundamental", universities had legal obligations to promote good race relations on campus. "It is hard to see how institutions can reconcile their duty to promote good race relations with staff being members of the BNP. Institutions may therefore consider that it is inappropriate for BNP members to have teaching and/or pastoral care responsibilities, or other direct contact with students," she said.

Academics named as members of the far-Right party included Arthur Nightingale, head experimental design engineer at the University of Cambridge's Centre for Industrial Photonics. The university said staff political affiliations were "a matter for them" as long as they did not affect the workplace, so no action would be taken.

Strathclyde University, whose estates manager William MacLachlan appeared on the list, said that political beliefs were "a personal matter" but it would consider its position if "such beliefs should impinge on a staff member's professional activity".

Dennis Hayes, founder of Academics for Academic Freedom and head of the Centre for Professional Learning at Canterbury Christ Church University, said the ECU recommendation was "an improper restriction of a democratic right ... and a new stage in the attack on academic freedom. These people have not said or done anything - they are being punished for existing."

Dr Hayes said discrimination should be tackled as it occurred.

Les Ebdon, vice-chancellor of the University of Bedfordshire, said: "It's the views rather than the party membership that's crucial. If somebody espouses openly racist views it's difficult to see how they can be in a lecturing position in a university where they may have students from a whole variety of ethnic groups."

Blaming Muslims for the heroin trade, the leaflets also featured pictures of the corpse of drug addict Rachel Whitear, originally authorised for use in legitimate anti-drug campaigns by her family, who were shocked when told that the BNP was using them as part of their racist campaign.

One of those arrested was Blackburn BNP organiser Robin Evans, who instantly became a hero to the Bigot - extoller of family values and purveyor of "British" values.

Unfortunately for the Bigot, his hero Evans has got form - and then some!

Family values: on his way to winning a council by-election in Blackburn, Evans lied to voters that he was standing to give his family a future. What he didn't say was that it was a future without him in the picture, because middle-aged Evans had been having an affair with then 21 year old BNP activist Julie Russell.

Evans warned wife Gwen about going to the newspapers when she uncovered the affair: "He said there would be repercussions if I did," she said, "and the party would take steps to 'counter-act' such moves. It was a clear threat and I knew he meant it."

Evans soon ditched his wife and 10 year old son for the charms of Julie Russell.

As for "British" values, Gwen Evans said: "He had some Asian friends before but now he wishes them dead."

Perhaps that's because, like so many in the British National Party, all along Robin was a secret

Two abused 14 year olds after getting them drunk

Two paedophiles jailed for sex attacks on schoolgirls last week are named on the leaked list of British National Party members, we can reveal. Perverts Ian Richard Hindle, 32, and Andrew Paul Wells, 49, plied two 14-year-olds with alcohol before subjecting them to sickening abuse.

Both men appear on a 12,000 strong BNP membership roll, alongside police officers, soldiers, doctors, prison officers—and even vicars. The sex beasts’ membership will bring further shame to the far-right party.

BNP leader Nick Griffin had claimed the number of people with respectable jobs on the list contradicted the view that the average member “was a skinhead oik”. But Gerry Gable, spokeman for anti-fascist magazine Searchlight, said: “The fact that these two sex offenders are on the list shows the sort of vile characters which gravitate towards the fascist group.”

A court heard last week that twisted Hindle took advantage of one of the girls by having sex with her. Wells took snaps on his mobile of himself sexually assaulting the other teenager. The vile pair were caught when the horrifying images later came to the attention of the girl’s mother, who called police.

The men, of Blackburn, Lancs, carried out their depraved acts after getting the girls drunk at Wells’s flat. Hindle admitted unlawful sex with a child and was jailed for three years. Wells, who admitted two charges of engaging in sexual activity with a child and one of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, got two years and three months.

The horrendous abuse did not even stop when one of the drunk girls became ill, Preston Crown Court heard. When she staggered to the toilet, Wells followed her in and exposed himself to her.

Detective Constable Lee Eckersley said: “It is a prime example of men exploiting the vulnerability of a young girl for their own selfish needs.”

Their sentences came as the Metropolitan Police in London suspended four employees who were on the BNP list leaked on the internet. They are a PC, a special constable, a police community support officer and a civilian staff member. Cops and civilian police staff are banned from BNP membership.
