British National Party accused of hostile takeover of trade union

The British National Party has been accused of executing a “hostile takeover” of a trade union that subsequently accepted a £5,000 undeclared donation from Nick Griffin, the leader of the party.

Clive Potter, a founder of Solidarity, the nationalist trade union, told The Times that he and other members of its executive were ousted by allies of Mr Griffin because they wanted to remain independent of the BNP.

In documents to the Certification Office, the regulator of trade unions, former members of the executive claim that the union has been hijacked by “disaffected former officials and an outside political party”.

They said that the union had been subjected to “hostile attacks from unauthorised former officials and outside elements, namely the British National Party”. The split raises questions about Solidarity’s links to the BNP as it has been previously accused of, but has denied, being a front for the party. Many members also belong to the BNP and its president, Adam Walker, is a candidate for the party in the forthcoming European election.

The Times revealed on Thursday that Solidarity was the recipient of a £5,000 donation, originally sent to Mr Griffin, that is under review by the Electoral Commission. Mr Griffin admitted that he did not inform the authorities about the donation, which appeared to be from a political supporter, although he paid it into his own account before transferring it to Solidarity. Donations of more than £1,000 to individual party members must be declared if they are for political use.

Mr Griffin said that he gave the money to the union because the donor wanted to remain anonymous and he believed that he would have had to declare it if passed to the BNP.

Patrick Harrington, general secretary of Solidarity, a former organiser for the National Front and a friend of Mr Griffin, told The Times that the union was completely independent of the BNP. Mr Harrington, who is not a member of the BNP, said that Mr Potter’s accusations should be dismissed as they were from a “disgruntled former official”.

Although the alleged takeover occurred in 2007, it has not been aired publicly. Several disputes from it will be decided in a hearing next month by the Certification Officer.

Mr Potter, a former member of the BNP, told The Times that he helped to set up Solidarity in 2005 as a “mass nationalist trade union” that was to be independent of any political party. “If it isn’t independent then it fails. Unfortunately, as I found out later, Mr Griffin had other ideas,” he said.

After a series of disagreements with Mr Harrington, and following what he claims was interference from Mr Griffin, Mr Potter was ousted in 2007 along with members of the executive who supported him. He will claim that his removal was “unconstitutional”. Mr Harrington denied any impropriety and said that elections to the union’s executive were held properly. As a result of the split, two separate trade unions, both known as Solidarity, have been operating since 2007. One branch, which is run by Mr Harrington and accepted the donation from Mr Griffin, has acted for people who have been dismissed from their jobs because of association with the BNP.

Mr Potter said that his branch operates on “paper only” as it has no money — its bank account was frozen after the acrimony between the warring factions. He said that as a believer in BNP ideals but an opposer of Mr Griffin, he wanted a return to the “status quo” in leadership of the union.

In the final council by-election before next week’s county and European Parliament polls, the BNP pushed the Conservatives into third place. Labour’s vote held up in North Ormesby and Bramble Farm, Middlesbrough, where the far Right won 19.1 per cent of the vote. That would not be enough for it to win in the North East Euro constituency, which has only three seats. The BNP says its best chance for a European win is in the North West, where Nick Griffin is running. He predicts the party could win up to six seats and claims it is spending £500,000 on a national campaign. The BNP is fielding 450 candidates for the local elections and 66 for the European Parliament, at least one for every constituency in England, Scotland and Wales.

Money talks

— Any trade union that intends to spend money on political objectives must set up a separate political fund. This arose from the Trade Union Act 1913

— Before a political fund can be established, the union must ballot all its members. A simple majority of members is enough to pass the resolution

— The certification officer must approve both the ballot and the political fund rules before they are put to the vote. This ensures that there is a fair voting process

— The political fund can be spent on both affiliated political parties and more general campaigning. Each union publishes accounts of its expenditure to the certification officer. These are available to all members of the union

— Any union member can choose to be exempted from the political fund at any time. There can be no discrimination against members who opt for exemption Unions must review their decisions to have a political fund every ten years. This is done by ballot

News from Fantasy Island

Page was created by user:dissidentcongress who, based on other things (c.f. Wikipedia:Vandalism in progress and MediaWiki:VfD-Populist Party UK) appears to be a vandal who is updating pages for either vanity or publicity reasons. No evidence that Harrington is a major figure in any way, shape, or form. Snowspinner 22:25, 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)

That's taken from the edit history section of Patrick Harrington's ego trip of a Wiki page. It means that Snowspinner had the Great Fantasist sussed for the nobody he was (and is), so Snowspinner deleted the page. Of course the Fantasist put it back.

He spends a lot of time on Wiki, does the Fantasist - it's what general secretaries of fighting unions do when they're not ordering blogs into existence.

For instance, when Harrington and his BNP buddies hijacked the One Big Union the Fantasist began playing the fascist with the Onion's Wiki page, deleting links and references to the "official" Potter/Hawke faction using his regular name, "doublethink" - which goes clear against Wiki's policy on conflicts of interest (but that's the skulking way the Fantasist operates).

Now don't forget that just as the Fantasist created a Wiki account and began telling the world what a Very Important Person he was, YOU can also create a Wiki account - it takes seconds and you can immediately begin editing some truth into the pages of the Fantasist, the Onion, Third Way, the BNP and all the other fascist liars making a corrupt joke of the peoples' online encyclopaedia.

In the post below this we deal with the emergence of the Accentuballs PR company as a Force To Be Reckoned With when it comes to stopping Pentecostal churches pastored by black people being built in east London, but all the resources of the mighty Accentuballs couldn't save the Fantasist's "moneybomb for liberty" scam from going straight off the rails.

We're not interested here in the scam or the lying claim that the "moneybomb" raised only £2050 (which had better show up in the accounts next year, Patrick) of the £100,000 it wanted, what we are interested in is the fact that the Fantasist's pretend political party registered itself with the Electoral Commission as "The National Liberal Party - Third Way".

It's a fact that the Electoral Commission would not have registered the name "National Liberal Party" without the qualifying " - Third Way" as a legitimate (and decent) Liberal Party was already in existence. The Fantasist and his former National Front buddies who run the NLP-TW knew this very well, so it seems that all along they have been conning the Electoral Commission as they have completely dropped the all-important " - Third Way" qualification from almost every mention of the "National Liberal Party", even the title of their website:

That's very naughty, as the Fantasist and his band of dreamers aren't playing a fair game - so we thought we'd let the EC (and the real Liberal Party) in on the plot. Why not do the same yourself?

Rounding off (yet another) week of failure for the Fantasist, we see that the One Big Huge Vast Onion allowed its domain names to expire...

...but the Onion has (just) gone back online, so if you want to read the "Aprill 2008" bulletin (the latest) and cough up towards the £250 answerphone appeal (the Big Idea at this year's Onion conference), you can.

We'll pass. Always wants somebody else's money, that Fantasist.

Accentuate PR rises without trace - until you read about it here

It's here at last! (But we're not linking to it.) The brand-spanking new website of Accentuate PR - public relations consultants to (apparently among others) "a Trade Union, political parties and a range of community groups".

Whoo! Not bad, eh?

Well... yeees, it is bad, because it's nonsense.

Accentuballs is a one-man band run by ex-National Front man and long-time friend of Great Fantasist Patrick Harrington, Graham Williamson, and like everybody associated with serial failure Harrington, Williamson has a penchant for making extravagant claims that have no basis in reality, such as:

HOW DOES IT (Accentuballs) DIFFER FROM OTHER PR COMPANIES?

The classic public relations company will be an independent business contracted to promote another company in general, to manage a specific campaign or promote products or services. It may use advertising, press coverage or printed material to build brand awareness and values.

Whilst Accentuate may use these tools too campaigning groups are not usually trying to sell a product or services but a message.

This message is the product. It determines the limits of the marketing strategy and which particular audiences to target. For campaigning groups the message is paramount. The message and the publicity generated will be altogether different from that obtained by the normal PR Company. Accentuate specialises in promoting Campaign groups, whether community groups, single-issue pressure groups or non-establishment political parties. It can also replicate this for individuals. We already list amongst our clients a Trade Union, political parties and a range of Community Groups.

The only place we've seen Accentuballs "strategy" in action is the free post-it-yourself PR-Inside website.

But let's humour Williamson.

His brand-spanking-new Joomla-powered website carries three ringing endorsements, viz:

Graham Williamson has handled or publicity and marketing almost from the beginning. We have found ourselves pitched against multi-million pound organisations. Graham Williamson has been able to present and publicise our position to the media and wider public at a fraction of the cost and is usually more succesful!"

Secretary - Adamsgate Action Group

"We could not have handled the launch of our website without Accentuate's help. They not only promoted the launch but helped focus our message to maximum effect".

National Secretary - National Liberal Party

"Graham Williamson has helped to bring our independent Nationalist Union to the attention of a wider public and helped to devise and implement our recruitment campaigns. He has attended meetings and worked closely with our National Executive at all times. Graham and Accentuate are doing a great job on behalf of ordinary working people in this country who want their views represented and communicated."

President - Solidarity Trade Union

Let's take them in order, shall we?

The Adamsgate Action Group is active in east London, and one of its major successes was a campaign against the construction of a Pentecostal church. Well, of course, ex-National Fronter Williamson worked hard against that - and when you know that the Pastor of the church rejoices in the name Dipo Oluyomi you get a better idea of where the Adamsgate Action Group is coming from.

Oh, did we forget to mention that Graham Williamson is also the Chairman of the Adamsgate Action Group? Well we have now.

The grandly titled National Secretary of the deliberately misleadingly named National Liberal Party is one David Durant. Guess what? Durant is ex-National Front, too. And what's this other name we see on their 20 member roster? Williamson? Graham Williamson? Can't be the same, surely?

Oh, but it is...

Funny thing about the allegedly ultra-successful launch of the NLP website that could not have been handled without Accentuballs' help - nobody noticed then, and they still haven't. We give 'em more publicity than Accentuballs ever did!

Accentuballs is handling the PR for the Great Fantasist's "Moneybomb" campaign, a scheme devised to chalk up £100,000 to the National Liberal Party's bank account by midnight on June 15th. It's well past that deadline now and the "bomb" part of the title seems to be the only part that went according to plan. It bombed. Currently the cheap and nasty webpage put up to milk the moolah is claiming that 205 people have donated £2050 - another resounding success for Harrington and Accentuballs. And almost certainly the biggest load of pony this side of Newmarket racecourse.

And so, inevitably, on to the endorsement from the One Big Vast Huge Useless Onion, general secretary the Great Fantasist. What can we say? What did you know about the Huge Onion before you read it here? 'Nuff said.

So there you go.

Accentuballs - not so much a PR company as a state of mind. As in "delusional".

TU Certification Office investigating Solidarity

Some time ago we were made aware that the trades union Certification Officer was at last actively investigating several complaints made against the BNP/Patrick Harrington version of the fake union, Solidarity.

The complaints were made by members of the original, official Solidarity Executive, sidelined by Harrington and Nick Griffin when the union was effectively hi-jacked last year, and more recent complaints have been made by supporters of the Unity and allied websites who were concerned that the Certification Officer might be tempted to avoid involvement, given the complexity of the case presented and the veritable viper-pit of personalities involved.

The website of the Certification Officer now carries the following notice:
APPOINTMENT OF INSPECTOR - SOLIDARITY

On 22 May 2008 the Certification Officer appointed Gerard Walker, Assistant Certification Officer, as an Inspector to investigate the financial affairs of the trade union Solidarity. The appointment was made under Section 37B of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992. The Inspector's terms of reference are to investigate the financial affairs of the trade union Solidarity between 1 November 2005 and 24 November 2007; as regards;

a. the production of receipts for expenditure,

b. the operation of the Solidarity Paypal account,

c. withdrawals from the Solidarity HSBC current account on 20 and 25 September 2007 and a transfer to the Solidarity HSBC current account from the Solidarity HSBC Money Manager Account on 20 September 2007,

d. cheques cashed from the Solidarity HSBC current account between 18 January 2007 and 4 June 2007,

e. payments made to Mr Patrick Harrington from the Solidarity HSBC current account between 1 February 2007 and 1 May 2007,

f. the freezing of the Solidarity HSBC Current Account and Business Money Manager Account in 2007,

g. the opening of a Bank of Scotland account in the name of Solidarity in 2007,

h. the appointment of Accentuate PR Company by Solidarity in 2007,

i. the appointment of the auditors of Solidarity's accounts for the years ending 31 December 2006 and 31 December 2007 and

j. any other matter, with the consent of the Certification Officer, indicating a financial irregularity within the description set out in section 37B(2) of the 1992 Act that may come to light during the investigation of (a) to (i) above.

The terms of reference exclude the Inspector from reaching any conclusion on the legal issues arising out of the unresolved dispute within Solidarity about the application of its rules to its governance, the resolution of which requires either internal agreement or judicial determination.

The final paragraph is a clear enough statement that the Certification Officer intends to make no judgement or ruling on the legality or otherwise of the Harrington takeover, and so, whatever the outcome of this investigation into the financial affairs of Solidarity, the fake union will remain in the hands of Harrington and the BNP - unless the official Executive have the wherewithal to take the matter to law.

We do not expect them to do so, but we can state that in the unlikely event of control of the union being returned to them, then the official Executive intend to liquidate Solidarity due to the taint of its association with the BNP and Harrington - though this had not previously been a concern to Solidarity's leaders.

On the rarely visited website maintained by the hi-jacked version of Solidarity, Harrington republishes the investigation schedule, adding:

We keep an open-mind as regards the motivation of the Certification Office. It is possible that they are a neutral party simply responding professionally to a series of malicious (and potentially defamatory) allegations. We caution any third party from making unfounded or premature statements regarding this matter.

It is a very strange thing indeed that the supposed General Secretary of a supposed trade union only thinks it "possible" that the Certification Office is a "neutral party", as if he had no idea what the Certification Office existed for. Note, too, the clear threat in the final sentence, obviously intended for our eyes.

Harrington ends: "Members can rest assured that we will deal with this matter in a businesslike fashion and our services will continue to be delivered as normal."

Exactly what these "services" are is open to question, since our contacts within the Harrington/BNP Solidarity have seen very little of service and very much of waffle and grandiose promise for their £5 per month.

Solidarity has clearly failed.

As we have seen in past articles, it is very far from being the "One Big Union" of Harrington's vaulting aspirations, having only 211 members (allegedly), and having stirred little interest among the BNP membership at which it aims itself. Its annual conference was a tawdry hole and corner affair hedged about with tight security, and attended by only 27 members - almost a third of those sitting on the Executive platform.

Its much-promoted May Day activities boiled down to some desultory leafleting at two distant locations by a tiny number of members (four, we believe) armed with scruffy hand-made placards.

And, of course, it has taken on only one case since its inception, that of sacked teacher Mark Walker, a BNP man advised by the useless "fighting union" to find himself a lawyer specialising in employment law.

As there really is no beginning to the successes of the Harrington/BNP Solidarity, and as we're in danger of repeating old and all too familiar news, we'll leave it there.

At this time we have no idea of the probable timescale of Gerard Walker's investigation into Solidarity's finances, or even whether Mr Walker intends either to interview the main protagonists or to accept their written submissions, but we'll bring news of the outcome as soon as we have it.

Solidarity May Day flop (what else did you expect?)

A bit of a lull for us here at Norfolk Unity recently, with DG flitting off for a holiday and yours truly having his arm twisted to redecorate the kitchen (and the hall, and the parlour...), but we're back and fighting fit, so let's kick off with news of everybody's favourite One Big Vast Huge Onion...

Still labouring under the illusion that anybody cares for him and the other 210 members of the BNP front known as Solidarity, risible "General Secretary" Patrick Harrington called on his fellow British workers (he isn't one, by the way - a worker, that is) to pull out all the stops for May Day.

The Great Fantasist's call was duly answered - by around four people carting around professionally hand-scrawled placards, by our reckoning.

The One Big Vast Huge Onion ("establishing itself as a major independent Trade Union") reported that leaflets were handed out to rail communters in Romford and shoppers in Torquay High Street, and... er, that's it.

According to the Huge Onion's error-strewn website, "social events" were held over the May bank holiday weekend and "Other Chapters of our Brotherhood were out on the streets". But the Huge Onion doesn't seem to know where these "social events" were held or which streets the "Brotherhood" were out on, and Harrington's exhortation for the Brotherhood to send in reports and photographs of their activites has so far drawn a blank.

Mostly because nothing of the kind happened, and as indifference usually reaches fever pitch very quickly whenever the Great Fantasist makes a call for anything, ergo there was nothing to send in.

"Together we are strong!"

Not with the Great Fantasist running the show you're not!

Back in March the One Big Vast Huge Onion's website carried a statement from its token Sikh Pramjit Sadra, the "statement" grandly issued by the Onion's one-man PR-"company" with the webmail address, Accentuate. In it Sadra attacks migrant labour, but we're not interested in that as much as we are Mr Sadra himself. We've tracked him far and wide and been in touch with him frequently (though he doesn't know it - yet), and far from being a "British worker" Sadra seems to be involved in a number of get-rich-quick schemes - those flaming eAcademy emails (among others) are really clogging up my inbox.

We'll have more on Mr Sadra the British worker very soon.

We'll also have news of the trade union Certification Office's decision on the legitimacy of the One Big Vast Huge Onion.

Visitors will remember that the "union" was hi-jacked from its founders by the BNP last summer when allegations of financial irregularities concerning Patrick Harrington surfaced, so we have Official Solidarity (the original organisation founded by Clive Potter and Tim Hawke) and Provisional Solidarity (Harrington's One Big Vast Huge Onion group).

The Certification Office is investigating allegations of financial irregularities, and breaches of both the law and Solidarity's constitution.

The Certification Office will issue a ruling on whether the Harrington/BNP takeover was legitimate. If it isn't, a legal morass will swamp both sides, as a ruling in favour of Official Solidarity will almost certainly mean that the One Big Vast Huge Onion will have to hand over its assets and membership lists - and we can't see the BNP allowing that to happen without pulling a few strokes.

Something we do know for certain is that the Executive of Official Solidarity recently held a meeting to discuss the way forward in the event of the Certification Office ruling in their favour. The meeting concluded that the name of Solidarity had been so badly damaged by its close association with the British National Party and had attracted so little interest (even from BNP members) that there was no point in continuing with the operation, and they would disband it.

As the BNP and the Great Fantasist would find it very difficult to start up another fake trade union (because this time the real trade unions will be ready for them), Harrington would find himself with even more time on his hands than normal in which to "order" the start-up of more blogs devoted to "deconstructing" (his most favouritest word in all the world) the Unity websites that have done so much to remind the antifascist brethren that you don't need to visit a circus to see a clown in action.

Fascist party aims to con LibDem voters

Nobody ever accused Patrick Harrington of hiding his light under a bushel.

His towering self-regard and assessment of his own importance have long been a source of mirth to anti-fascists used to dealing with the inflated egos predominating on the extreme right.

Nobody does more to maintain his own Wiki page than Harrington (he prefers to be called "Pat"), the mystery being why he, Wiki, or anybody else should imagine the serial failure to be worth 2,571 words, and why Harrington thinks anybody could care enough about him and his obscure doings to read the self-penned personal bio he seems to paste at the drop of a hat in various places on the web.

As we've often noted, to read anything penned by Harrington is to step outside hard reality. His personal bio gives the impression of a man of political substance and achievement; his writings on the fake union Solidarity's website are of what you might charitably term the overblown variety; and over on the Third Way website we could be forgiven for believing that this fifth-rate National Front successor organisation, of which Harrington accounts himself a "Director", really is some vital think-tank throwing up ideas essential to the good of the nation.

The truth is rather more mundane.

"Success" and "Harrington" are words rarely found in close proximity. The "militant fighting union" Solidarity is largely reduced to issuing General Secretary Harrington's pompous and unremarked press statements and making appeals for funds (a telephone "hotline" - with answering machine - being the latest Must Have for the One Big Union and its 211 members).

And of the Third Way - what does one say about a "party" of 20 members that bores the Electoral Commission to tears with its windy account of its local election performances (successes = 0), admits to having only £88.17 in the kitty (2006), but which allegedly raised £1400 from membership subs (yet £15 x 20 = £300! - go figure), somehow managing to spend £560 of that on vague "internet services" (we thought Wordpress and the Masterplan theme - the very same as used by the BNP - were free).

Harrington is very much a man who rose without trace to lead organisations that campaign without trace.

The Third Way, of course, goes by the dishonest name of "National Liberal Party".

Many entirely honourable and respectable political parties use the word "Liberal" in their titles - most obviously, the Liberal Democrats and the rump Liberal Party. Quite why the Electoral Commission ever came to allow Harrington's "National Liberal Party" to contest elections under that name is a mystery, since the EC normally refuses to allow sound-alike parties to campaign when they believe a title has been adopted with the intention of confusing or misleading voters.

The name game may soon be up, however, for the "National Liberal Party".

On Stormfront Harrington uses the moniker "Doublethink", and - we believe - that of "Completely Blank". On the Green Bigot's forum the poster "Completely Blank" denies being Harrington, despite "Completely Blank" managing to sound in every way like Harrington, even down to the evasions and inflated claims regarding the bogus union Solidarity. At any rate, when Norfolk Unity insisted that Harrington was "Completely Blank", the great man took the matter no further and contented himself with trying to force Blogger to remove a picture from this website.

Giving Harrington the benefit of considerable doubt, we'll say no more on the provenance of "Completely Blank", but go on to highlight a declaration recently made by that entity on the Nazi Stormfront website:
The National Liberal Party intends to contest ten marginal Lib Dem seats at the next general election. In some of these the Lib Dems have a majority of only some hundreds.

There was a National Liberal Party in the early part of the last century so the Third Way's claim to the title could be said to have some historic basis. There is a Liberal Party and a Liberal Democratic party so why not a revived National Liberal Party. After all, in Ulster there is an Ulster Unionist Party, a Democratic Unionist Party, a UK Unionist Party a Progressive Unionist Party and until recently a Northern Ireland Unionist Party. As the EC allows all these varieties of unionism I can see no reason to prevent a liberal nationalist party from using 'Liberal' in its title.
Ignoring the feeble attempt at self-justification as to why a fascist party lays claim to the title "Liberal", the first paragraph of Completely Blank's posting leaves no doubt whatsoever that the National Liberal Party intends to go into the next general election purposed on conning votes away from the Liberal Democrats by confusing itself with the mainstream party, and - they hope - losing the sitting Liberal Democrats their seats.

There can be, and is, no other reason for the NLP to target itself so specifically - only against Liberal Democrats, and only in marginals where a small number of votes will decide the sitting MPs' fates.

No other no-hope party, to the best of our knowledge, has ever gone into a general election fixed purely on unseating MPs by use of deceit and obsfucation.

In our opinion this amounts to a clear intention to mislead voters and to abuse the democratic process on the part of a nasty little organisation made up of no-hopers and fantasists closely connected with the BNP and complicit in the running of the racist party's bogus front groups.

It is also reason enough for the Electoral Commission to strip Third Way of the right to campaign under the spurious "National Liberal Party" title.

We have already alerted the Liberal Democrats to the underhand intentions of the squalid NLP, but visitors (of all political persuasions) to this website can help by complaining to the Electoral Commission, and by bringing this post to the attention of Liberal Democrat MPs and LibDem organisations.

Follow this link to the Electoral Commission's contact web-page, where complaints can be made to each national EC outpost in writing, by email, or by telephone.

Harrington and company may well have over-stepped the mark with their premature blustering. Let's ensure it comes back to haunt them.

More from la-la land

Here I was, a little time on my hands, ready to give the low down on the BNP and their Nazi playchums on Stormfront when I find half of my research material zapped by the cross burning brethren.

Yes, I really should save this stuff, and normally do, but when the pond life are putting the boot in to a non-Aryan type they're usually quite proud of themselves and the muscle-brained mods are happy to let things stand - remember the story of the black woman in Luxembourg who set fire to herself? The resident Nutzis thought that was hilarious.

Now most of us with normal emotions were saddened to learn of the sudden death of Gloria Taylor, mother of murdered boy Damilola Taylor.

But not, of course, your average BNP racist.

To them, Gloria is nothing more than a "'Groid", a "nigress", her dead son a "little chimp", a "niglet" - you get the idea. The sort of epithets that don't appear on BNP election literature, the kind of thing Nick Griffin doesn't tell Kirsty Wark on Newsnight.

Single brain-celled Nutzi chavette Odinsdaughter brought the news of Gloria's death to Stormfront and the BNP posters quickly went to town with a barrage of sarcasm ("Thats just so upsetting. Pardon me while i go off and cry") that soon expanded to include the regular references to "'groids" and "niglets".

In fact it became so embarrassing that - maybe expecting a post like this to appear somewhere - Stormfront Britain's newly installed anti-Griffinite mods took Odinsdaughter's thread down, thus depriving me of a treasure trove of highly quotable material by known members of the BNP.

And it wasn't the kind of stuff they'll be selling to the voters.

Elsewhere on SFB this week we find Lord Kitchener's recipe for a happier planet: "the sooner the whole dammed lot of them [Muslims] are nuked off the planet the better for everyone else", and Seth Putnam giving his view on the "baby with two faces" recently born in India: "I sometimes wonder if hindus are more retarded then nigs."

News of the racist desecration of hundreds of Muslim First World War graves in Northern France brought little sympathy on Stormfront. Bravery and sacrifice don't mean much to the cowardly keyboard warriors of the BNP - these were the graves of "muzzies", and after all, "muzzies" need to be nuked off the planet, don't they?

What escaped the Stormfront crowd was that some of the insults sprayed on the graves of the dead soldiers were directed against the French Justice Minister, the very presentable Miss Rachida Dati (left), who happens to be, um, Muslim!

They don't get them like that in the BNP, eh, fellas?

You can't argue with the facts, so the Stormfronters didn't - all except one. While his fellow Nazis raged against modern fundamentalist Muslim terrorism, as if that excused the disgusting attack in France, BNP man and Oxfordshire forum poster Magmakohl fell back on the old tried and tested standby - it was the Jews!

"I firmly believe Jews are behind this. Everyone knows there were Muslim regiments in the Third Reich. Attacking soldier's graves is the ultimate anti-publicity stunt. They can get two birds with one stone by vandalising muslim graves and blaming it on 'Nazis' and at the end of the day it just makes their political enemies look like thugs and hooligans and paves the way for hate crimes legislation, and the Jew sneaks away thinking himself clever."

Yep, everything bad that ever happened in the world from the extinction of the dinosaurs to Magmakohl's misfiring car engine - it's the Jews!

You just try proving it's not.

Unable to live up to their promises not to return to Stormfront, armchair warriors Green Arrow and Brighton Rock - they of zero real word activism - did just that.

The useless Rock, desperate to prove otherwise, wants people to understand that there is a difference between a "keyboard activist" and a "keyboard warrior", so he began a comeback thread devoted to upping his cred.

Well, yes, there is a difference between a keyboard activist and a keyboard warrior - it's one of semantics in his case. Brighton Rock's "keyboard activism" has so far made the name of the BNP mud in the eyes of those using the public forum he had closed down and gives him the right to call veteran BNP members "scumbags".

With "friends" like him, does the BNP need enemies? Does Stormfront need "red trolls" (our lives are hard enough on there already)?

Nautical no-hoper Green Bigot feared his treasured blog stats were suffering from not having his links on Stormfront, so the soggy sailor returned to post on the issue of BNP candidate Barry Towers's sacking from Middlesborough Football Club - the club being none too happy to find itself associated with the BNP.

"Is Solidarity involved?" asks Jack the Biscuit, which brings us to

Yes, apparently the useless fake BNP union is involved.

Now if Towers had a problem with a photograph appearing on this website, the One Big Vast Huge Onion's ridiculous General Secretary Patrick Harrington is his man - Harrington can have Blogger/Google worried with a few empty threats like nobody else!

But when it comes to employment problems, the rip-off Solidarity has less success.

In fact, no success of any kind whatsoever. Zilch. Nul. Not a sausage.

This is the One Big Vast Huge Onion of 211 members which told BNP man Mark Walker to seek legal advice because the useless union couldn't do anything for him.

Of course this is a chance for the Great Fantasist and the alleged "militant fighting union" to live up to the grandiose statements filling out its heavily copyrighted website, but we're not holding our breath in anticipation.

While we've got the Fantasist in our sights, allow us to draw your attention to his new blog, which you can laugh at here http://lancasteruaf.wordpress.com/

Notice the pompous poseur's statement at the bottom: "This blog has been created on the orders of Patrick Harrington. Patrick Harrington is the General Secretary of the Solidarity Trades Union and a Director of the Third Way think-tank."

"Created on the orders of Patrick Harrington"???

Since when did anybody respect failure Harrington enough to carry out any order given by him? Of course, it's his blog and he writes it, so we reckon either the Great Fantasist really does believe he has an army of minions standing by to carry out every instruction he gives, or he looked in the mirror and ordered himself to create it.

Don't even ask us to get on to the subject of the "Third Way think-tank", which the Fantasist imperiously says he's a director of. There are less than thirty of them, and whatever the "think-tank" thinks, nobody ever took a blind bit of notice of any of them.

Let's end this canter around the further reaches of looney-dom by putting in a good word for the wonderfully whacky Matt O'Connor, founder of Fathers4Justice and London mayoral candidate for the English Democrats.

"I'd rather eat my left testicle than be compared in any way with the BNP," says O'Connor.

Matt may still need to take a little nibble on the basis of past EngDem indiscretions, but we'll give him his due.

For now.

BNP briefs

Barnes away with the fairy tales

Lee Barnes, never failing source of amusement for anti-fascists and endless source of embarrassment for the BNP, would appear to have smoked one spiff too many as he frantically thrashes about in his increasingly comical attempts to rehabilitate himself following the Nazi Stormfront's very own Night of the Long Knives.

Readers will recall that in a few weekend hours of madness the BNP's unhinged legal eagle caused such a furore that outside moderators came in to wrest control of Stormfront Britain from Nick Griffin's men, forbidding key Griffinite moderator Andy Robertson from interfering in the running of the SF Britain forum.

As Atreus notes elsewhere, Barnes suddenly went very quiet, almost certainly on Nick Griffin's orders, but then came back on his own blog with an attack on the Jewish Chronicle - a barely disguised hint of Barnes's continuing anti-semitism intended for Stormfront consumption.

Earlier on Stormfront, where everybody knows that one of Barnes's nommes de lunacy is sweet young teenage racist Jacob Cobain, the Medway Madman made no bones about his anti-semitism, announcing through his Jacob Cobain sock-puppet "I know extactly what to do with the local rabbi after we get into power".

Nobody on Stormfront is taking much notice of Barnes, however, so - just as he's done in the past - the legal lunatic has resorted to fairy-tales, and posted a couple of death threats to himself.

Given Barnes's clearly psychotic condition we shouldn't be surprised that the man (?) has threatened himself with his own murder - though he really doesn't need to, as there's a long and very willing queue building up on the Stormfront forums alone.

But let's just play along with Barnes, and assume the death threats are genuine... has Barnes reported the threats to the police? Has he alerted Blogger, so that the IP's of those making the threats can be traced? In fact, has he done anything at all that will result in bringing those making threats against his workshy carcass to justice?

Well, he's fired off an angry email to the Jewish Chronicle... and that's it.

If Barnes hoped for a sympathetic thread to break out on Stormfront he's so far been disappointed, and that's because - like us - the Stormfront Nazis know a liar when they see one.

Green Irrelevance also making it up

Always his own best trumpet-blower, the BNP's champion blogger and least active member, Green Arrow, has been treating his long-suffering visitors to an account of his own heroic life and his part in the struggle to take back Our Country from the Tri-axis Parties of Evil.

And like the best fiction should be, it's all very entertaining.

According to the Bigot (as we - liking a strict accuracy of terms - prefer to call him), he left the Navy in 1976 and considered his options, which - so he would have us believe - were politics or journalism (no laughing at the back there). In the event, the Bigot says, he did neither.

Which is odd, since we have several references to Green Bigot statements wherein the windy one says very clearly that he joined the National Party immediately on leaving the Navy - nothing about considering his options. Perhaps the Bigot simply wanted to impress by kidding along his deluded admirers that he really was good enough for a career in journalism.

Not with syntax, spelling and punctuation like his, he's not.

Then, like the old hand he never has been, the Bigot goes on: "I will not go into an history of Nationalism between 1976 and 2007". Of course he won't, because he knows next to nothing about it.

Nowhere has the Bigot ever claimed to have been a member of the National Front in the late 1970's, however, he says: "But our Leaders in 78, then told us to be strong and persevere and within 10 years we would prevail and win."

Now, by 1978 the National Party was dead and gone, and if the Bigot was never in the NF, exactly who are "our Leaders"?

"But of course we did not," continues the Bigot. "Three decades have past and during that time the True British Nationalists fought on, they continued to sell our papers, they continued to knock on doors and they delivered millions of leaflets in our desperate attempts to wake up our fellow citizens. But we could not wake them."

"Our"? "We"?

Is the Green Bigot attempting to invent a past that simply isn't his?

I do believe he is.

So far as we've been able to tell, the Bigot did nothing at all for the cause allegedly so dear to his heart from the demise of the National Party until his emergence as an armchair warrior about a year or so ago. His membership of the BNP dates no further back than the tail-end of 2007.

Quoth the Bigot: "And during those decades, thousands of our members and supporters have passed on without seeing any light at the end of the dark tunnel of despair afflicting our country. I like to think that they died happy knowing, that they at least had tried and not bowed their heads or knelt in surrender to the successive governments that betrayed them and their children."

Curious, really, and bound to raise the hackles of the many BNP and NF veterans the activism-free Green Bigot spent so much time attacking during his unhappy sojourn on Stormfront.

In the strange matter of Solidarity copyright

We've reported, in rather forthright terms, the efforts of the serial failure Patrick Harrington to have a photograph taken from his fake Solidarity trade union's website removed from Norfolk Unity.

Harrington's unimportance is of epic proportions, much in keeping with his ego.

I'll state very clearly our position on that photograph - in Britain the law recognises the concept of "fair usage", and in the spirit of fair usage we'll continue, as in:

Copyright Statement
The content (content being images, text, sound and video files, programs and scripts) of this website is copyright © Patrick Harrington, Solidarity General Secretary. All rights expressly reserved. The Solidarity logo is a registered trademark.

The Solidarity logo is, of course, a direct rip-off of the entirely respectable (and real) Polish Solidarity's logo.

Harrington's Solidarity, is, as it says, an "independent trade union". It just happens to rely on BNP-engineered coups to keep it independent - of its founders and members, mostly.

But I'm going off-track.

We've speculated that the reason everything on the Solidarity website is copyrighted to Harrington is insurance in the event that he and the BNP lose control of the ridiculous "fighting union" (and its income). It's about controlling the assets, so that - if necessary - the union can be hijacked all over again.

There is something Harrington's forgotten, though, and it appears at the bottom of every page of the Solidarity website:

So who exactly does control the copyright? Harrington, or the "union" as a body?

Little errors like that can (and would) lead to serious legal complications, and I really think an independent fighting union of Solidarity's stature (211 members) should have spotted the problem before now.

After all, they were quick enough to spot the problem of a member in need of real representation, and just as quick to tell him to toddle off and take legal advice from somebody who could actually provide it.

Maybe they should consult the Medway Madman for an incisive appraisal of the copyright situation?

A General Secretary speaks

While we're talking about the most useless "trade union" on the planet, we came across the following pompous "press release" on the Solidarity website:

May Day is our day!

The nationalist Trade Union Solidarity is calling upon its members not only to join in the traditional May Day celebrations but also to mark the 'Authentic' date rather than just the Public holiday.

'Workers Day' has its roots in the 19th century demand for an eight hour working day. As Pat Harrington, Solidarity General Secretary, says "Since British workers find their pay and working conditions eroded under renewed and relentless pressure from ruthless employers and cheap non-unionised migrant labour; the need for a militant patriotic union to fight their case has never been stronger. Other Unions heavily connected to the Government may try to avoid these issues but we will not. May Day is truly our day".

Ever since May Day has become a public holiday the day has changed each year to coincide with the nearest Monday. May 1st (this year on a Thursday) however is the authentic day for celebrating the traditional 'First day of Summer' and 'Workers Day'.

Authentic May Day will be celebrated by Solidarity members throughout the UK on May 1st which will include leafleting and public stalls explaining the 'days' significance for British workers.

It's a jolly good job Harrington takes himself seriously, because we're pretty sure nobody else does.

"Solidarity members throughout the UK" - there are 211 of them, only 27 of which could be bothered to make its annual conference, the floor only narrowly outnumbering the "executive" sitting at the top table. You have an impression that in his fertile mind Harrington sees regiments of "British workers" all mobilising at the call of the militant patriotic union's General Secretary.

To set up a stall or two and push a few leaflets.

Everything about this "press release" underlines what a joke Solidarity is.

Where did you see it published, apart from this website?

Where, precisely, has the "militant patriotic union" been fighting anybody's case (bearing in mind that the subject of the only "case" it ever had was told to go away and seek legal advice)?

When did you last hear of a trade union with an AOL email address?

Or a "PR Company" operating out of a Yahoo address?

Better still, when did you last see the name "Harrington" associated with anything even remotely resembling success?

28 March 2008

Get stuffed Harrington!

The Great Fantasist himself, the One Big Vast Huge Onion's farcical serial failure Patrick Harrington, is attempting to get Blogger to do the dirty legal work he's too afraid to do himself.

He's complained that we used the photograph above from the One Big Vast Huge Onion's website and therefore breached his copyright.

That's good, coming from somebody who stole the BNP's moneyspinner fake "trade union" in an illegal coup - the same "trade union" which ripped off the honourable original Polish Solidarity trade union for its name and its logo.

If Harrington thinks he's got a case, then why doesn't he sue us through the English courts? We're ready and waiting - more than ready and we really can't wait!

We keep asking - why are the contents of the One Big Huge Vast Onion's website copyrighted personally to the Great Fantasist, and not to the fake "union" itself?

Has it got anything to do with making sure the Great Fantasist can ride out any future attempt by the One Big Vast Huge Onion's 211 members to dump him when they realise what a useless waste of space he is by hanging on to the assets?

We reckon it's exactly that.

Anyway, Harrington's a bit on the late side. That photo has already appeared on several other internet sites, and though we can't be sure, we have a feeling it's about to appear on many more.

We're not taking it down, and we're not removing the post.

As far as we're concerned, loser Harrington can take a running jump off the end of the Britannia Pier. We're Norfolk Unity, not Clive Potter or Tim Hawke - and we bite back.

17 March 2008

Norfolk Unity's tour of la-la land

A whistlestop tour of some of Nazi la-la land's forums and websites today, starting with the least significant of them all.

The One Big Vast Huge Onion

Patrick Harrington, general secretary of the One Big Vast Huge Onion, Solidarity, has joined up with the Green Bigot's forum, putting the membership of the Green Bigot not very far behind that of the hijacked One Big Vast Huge Onion itself.

Posting as Completelyblank, an entirely appropriate name, the Great Fantasist got himself in a tiz about our report on the fantastic progress of the One Big Vast Huge Onion, which put on an amazing 111 members out of a potential (alleged - they're liars, remember?) 10,000 from the BNP in the last year alone.

This puts the One Big Vast Huge Onion on a par with the membership of the Hemsby and Winterton branch of the Amalgamated National Union of Beetroot Scrapers, Clock Winders and Toe-nail Removal Engineers (meetings Thursday nights in the shed behind the barber's shop). Or to put it another way, more people will visit Enver's Turkish Kebab House in Gorleston High Street in the next thirty minutes and ask for a bowl of pickled corn flakes with rasberry flavoured Angel Delight topping than have joined the Great Fantasist's play union in a year.

But the Fantasist never says die - not when there's the question of £60 a year in subs due from dupes who join the One Big Vast Huge Onion, who get told to clear off and seek legal advice somewhere else because the One Big Vast Huge Onion is even more useless than a bucket with a hole in the bottom. The Fantasist reckons 500 members by the end of the year is a realistic target - but we've been seeing Harrington's "realistic targets" for years, and we reckon that by the time the One Big Vast Huge Onion signs up its 500th victim the Sun will have become a Red Giant and life on Earth will have ceased.

With the services of the massively successful Accentuate PR company (the one with the Yahoo webmail address) working tirelessly on the One Big Vast Huge Onion's behalf you'd have thought that they'd have secured the Great Fantasist a page of refutation in the Times at least, if not ten minutes with Paxo on Newsnight.

Instead the Fantasist ended up whining on the Green Bigot's free speech forums (the ones where you get kicked off if you don't say "Jack Black" while sticking pins in a voodoo doll). Joining the not so comradely comrades, he posted acres of dribble that twists this way and that and never comes close to the truth or ever gets anywhere near answering the points we made.

"Atreus shows his grasp of arithmetic by multiplying the monthly membership subscriptions by twelve," he whinges.

Erm, yes, guilty. £60 per year x 210 members and a BNP leader comes out at £12660 whichever way you shake it - maybe not in right wing loopy land though, but right wing loopy land is a tad notorious for dodgy accounting practices. Anybody reckon the excuses are being cooked up early...?

Anyway, the Accentuate PR company presumably staying in bed for the day and the One Big Vast Huge Onion's general secretary having an important declaration to make, the Great Fantasist decided his post was worthy of a greater audience than the Bigot, Brighton Dross and sock puppet Sarah, and begged the Bigot to put the post up on his blog - required reading for anybody in need of a good laugh.

The Bigot obliged and the Fantasist can spend the next six months reading himself 60 times a day, while the Bigot can go about saying he knows somebody really really important who knows Nick Griffin, doncherknow boyo.

I wonder if Sailor Bigot and Bosun Rock, who spend a lot of time supporting the One Big Vast Huge Onion (or say they do) have ever actually joined it? Nah, not if their BNP records are anything to go by. The Rock was so afraid of a few "poofters" in Brighton that he made his excuses and left Sid Williamson to get in the way of a soft drink can being disposed of by a Pride marcher, so we don't see him joining the picket lines anytime soon.

Back to the Fantasist. He ends his declaration: "As Solidarity members they have the strength of a militant fighting union behind them. 'Together we are strong' is not an empty phrase dreamed up by Norfolk Unity's supposed 'Great Fantasist'. It's a plain fact."

Yeah, okay - we fell of our chairs, too.

Here's a few quotes direct from the One Big Huge Vast Onion's website ((c) P. Harrington - why?):

The kind of activities that Solidarity are involved in include the following:

Picket Protesting
Campaigns against companies that off-shore a large percentage of call centre jobs abroad as well as organisations that that employ large numbers iof cheap foreign workers.

Pressure Local Councils

Lobby MP's

Pensions Crisis
Through the use of Posters / Leaflets and Flyers we shall highlight the risks that workers face due to the reduction of a decent pension scheme, particularly postal workers

Helping Members Secure Work
We shall aggressively demonstrate around the country against companies that don't employ native workers, or who replace them with cheap imported labour

The truth is, the One Big Huge Vast Onion has been involved in none of these things. It's a plain fact.

Nut loses to Nutzis

As we've been reporting elswhere, Stormfront Britain was lost to the Griffinistas over the weekend after Medway Madman, BNP legal lunatic and former concrete mixer Lee Barnes short-circuited and began revealing the identities of anti-Griffin Stormfront posters on his pop-eyed blog.

Moderators from other parts of Stormfront came in to evict Barmy Barnes's supporters and sidelined Griffinite moderator John Joy Tree (Andy Robertson), infamous on Stormfront for pulling anti-Griffin threads and deleting posts. It turned out that all along JJT wasn't actually a Stormfront Britain moderator, but a moderator who "happens to live in Britain" according to SF Chief of Staff Jack Boot, who turned up to kick backsides.

Herr Boot listened to the gripes levelled against JJT - like allegations of passing info on anti-Griffin SF-ers to the BNP - and promoted time-served racist Number Five to moderator status on SFB. So it was steins of Lowenbrau all round for the Herrenvolk, followed by a rousing chorus of the Horst Wessel and three Sieg Heils.

But there are still a couple of rats in the Nazi pack, notably overweight chav, professional doley and soft drink avoidance expert Sid Williamson. Sid, known for his admiration of gay people and the amount of time he spends on lesbian dating sites, innocently professes neutrality in the pro-Griffin / anti-Griffin furore but always seems to kick the ball for Griffin when nobody's looking.

Having left the miniscule British People's Party (deceased spiritual leader: John Tyndall - not Nick Griffin's closest pal) for the BNP and then quickly performing a never explained about turn, a lot of questions hang over Sid - such as, did he return to the BPP on Griffin's orders...?

Sid's another moderator (or ex-moderator in his case) accused of passing on posters' info to the BNP, this time from the dog eat dog Vanguard News Network forums - probably the nastiest place in cyberspace. People just can't make their minds up about Sid. State, or not State. Griffin, or not Griffin? Maybe Searchlight?

It'll all come out in the wash.

Norfolk Unity visitors may not be acquainted with the one man pub crawl that is Sid Williamson, so here's a little taster: "Feeling better now Barker? Well don't get flippant will you? Because one day there will be a knock on your door, and when you open it I'll be stood there. would have done this ages ago had you not lived so far away. Just know that I will come and see you one day. And it won't be the best ****ing day you ever had, I promise."

They're just one big happy family on the Vanguard News Network.

BPP encouraged by 20% fall in membership

The British People's Party, headed up by Eddy Morrison (when sober) and probable flag of convenience for Sid Williamson, is claiming a membership renewal rate of 80%, apparently a record high. In a gushing orgy of self-congratulation the BPP's website hearks back to the glory days of the 1970's National Front, opining: "...the figures for the NF circa 1967 to 1979 speak for themselves. It is reliably estimated that although over 67,000 White men and women passed through the ranks of the National Front in this period - the NF total membership at any one time was between 12,000 and 15,000 (1977 -1979)."

The BPP obviously wants to associate itself with those sort of figures, but notes that renewal rates in the old NF were of the 30-40% order.

Not so the super-successful BPP with its splendid 80%: "So the BPP seems to breaking the mold in its high renewal rates."

Now maybe the BPP has the same problem with maths as the One Big Huge Vast Onion, but by our reckoning the BPP has just admitted to losing 20% of its membership.

And assuming the BPP is telling the truth, losing 20% of not very much at all leaves even less.

Just another day in la-la land, folks!

11 March 2008

Huge growth for BNP's One Big Union - useless Solidarity claims 211 British "workers"

You've got to hand it to Patrick Harrington. As imaginations go, they don't come much better than his. Where the rest of us see a squalid little scam invented by a gaggle of racist bigots, fantasist Harrington sees something pretending to be a "trade union" for "British workers" - One Big Union as he likes to call the unimaginatively named Solidarity.

Of course, One Big Union would go very nicely with One Party Rule, if that unlucky day were ever to dawn.

Last month the One Big Union held its grandly titled Annual Conference at the not so big Apollo Hotel in Birmingham. As we reported, the One Big Union resorted to deception to book the hotel, insisted its members meet at a redirection point, then subjected them to stringent security measures, and would not allow photography or any form of recording to take place.

Exactly the opposite of what any bona fide trade union would do.

The report of the meeting on Solidarity's website avoids mentioning exactly how many members of the One Big Union turned up at the Apollo Hotel and only shows a photo (above) of the "Executive" cramped together on the top table, so we think the attendance was what you might call embarrassing and therefore best not mentioned.

One member who did show up was that horny-handed toiler Nick Griffin, leader of the BNP, where he's made sure you can forget all about grievance procedures, fair disciplinary hearings, unfair dismissal or even open and honest leadership elections.

Maybe Griffin was there to keep an eye on his investment, or maybe he was watching for signs of anti-Griffin rebel activity in the One Big Union.

According to the report on Solidarity's website, which has the fantasist Harrington's paw-prints all over it, the One Big Union now has a membership of 211, which means that since Harrington and Griffin hijacked the fake union from its founders last spring it has put on a whole 111 members.

Unite must be quaking with fear!

At a fiver a month a throw, that means that Solidarity's annual income from membership fees is £12660. Members don't actually get anything worthwhile for their money, because the One Big union is so useless that the only advice it could give Mark Walker, at the centre of its feeble cause celebre case, was to "hire a lawyer specialising in employment law".

But £12660 - now that's worth talking about. Think about all the lovely expenses to be claimed. Maybe even a wage for General Secretary Harrington at some point? Donations to a certain political party?

You'd have thought that with a kitty of £12660 to play with that the One Big Union would have funded Mark Walker's lawyer, not told him to shove off and hire one. If all that money isn't there to do what regular and honest trade unions do - provide legal representation for their members - what is it there for?

You'd also have thought that for a party regularly claiming 10,000 members and apparently growing by the minute, more than a piffling two hundred BNP members would have joined the "British workers' union".

Obviously BNP members don't have much faith in the One Big Union. Or perhaps they know a lucrative income stream being set up when they see it.

They can certainly see that Solidarity does things on the cheap. Leaflets and flyers are to be downloaded and printed at your own expense, though printed versions are supposed to be available (but we'd get a cost comparison made first, just in case there's the usual right-wing rip-off involved).

And the tardy amateurishness of its sole publication, "The British Worker" (another cheapo download and print yourself job), just has to be seen to be believed. Looking like it's been chucked together on Word, it's an object lesson in bad layout, a stylistic disaster zone that would shame any parish magazine.

It's also months old and only one edition has ever been produced.

Everything about Solidarity has an air of fantasy about it. On its hyperbole-prone website it lists nine industry sectors in which it is allegedly organising (with 210 members and a pig farmer?), and for each section there is a wordy and completely unrealistic statement of aims that could only have been penned by the Great Fantasist himself.

Each section contains the following exhortation: "However, without your support we are powerless, so don't hesitate in supporting us so that we can support and protect your livelihood."

As in telling you to hire a lawyer specialising in employment law?

We think that the One Big Union only has one purpose, and that £12660 in the cash box is the best clue. If you can raise that from 211 members, just think what you can raise if only you could con 1000 BNP members into signing up for the toy union that won't support and protect your livelihood.

Which thought must have occurred to the member representing the pig farmers' section and his old mate, the Great Fantasist.

Griffin knows this "union" is a joke and will remain a joke, but even with a tiny membership it represents steady cash, and that's what it's all about. So Griffin is happy to let the Fantasist play at trade unions, because the Fantasist knows what the real game is.

"Together we're strong" runs the One Big Union's slogan.

Yes, and £60 quid a year poorer.

25 February 2008

You can trust the BNP - to lie through its teeth

Look anywhere on the Web and you'll find BNP members declaring how "proud" they are to belong to the racist party.

So proud of the name "British National Party" that they pretend to be anything but when booking meeting rooms.

Recently the party lied to the worthy folks of the Hastings Voluntary Association for the Blind, booking a room on their premises for a meeting attended by Nick Griffin in the false name "British Heritage".

HVAB was disgusted that the British National Party had lied to gain access. Spokesperson Jean Fleming said: "To say we are shocked about this is an understatement. We are horrified. We would not have allowed the booking if we had known it was for this purpose."

The BNP also lied to obtain the use of Little Kimble (Bucks) Stewart Hall, again for a Griffin meeting, and again using the fake "British Heritage" name.

In Birmingham on February 23rd the BNP's bogus micro "trade union", Solidarity, held its annual conference at the Apollo Hotel, Birmingham. The booking was made in the name of "Accentuate", a vaporous one man "PR company" which seems to exist to issue press releases nobody takes any notice of.

Solidarity, taken from its founders Clive Potter and Tim Hawke in dubious circumstances in a Griffin-inspired coup and handed to failure and nonentity Patrick Harrington, is so useless that the only advice it could give Mark Walker, at the centre of its feeble cause celebre case, was to "hire a lawyer specialising in employment law".

Some union!

The reason for booking the Apollo Hotel in the name "Accentuate" was purely to con the owners and to disguise the fact that this was a BNP event in all but name.

True to paranoid form, Solidarity insisted its members meet outside a McDonalds from where they would be redirected. I understand they were also told to keep schtumm so that the Apollo's owners didn't tumble to the fact that it was playing host to a gathering of hardcore racists.

The paranoia extended even to its own small band of deluded devotees, who were subjected to bag searches and "other security measures". Photography was out, so were mobile phones and "recording equipment", and only three hours were allowed from start to finish.

Not exactly like your average above board trade union with nothing to hide, is it?

But then nothing about the BNP is above board, and it has plenty to hide.
